the take-off area is on the right side, seen from below. Landing place is by the clubhouse (in between the new road). You can also land on the old part of the main road. Yes you fly in the CTR of Heraklion but this is not a problem because the big planes always approach the airport from EAST or WEST. In summer it is better to fly in the evening because the thermals are not so strong.
