Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert Type: Ocean Water type: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Small wave, Medium wave Water quality: Cloudy Infos: North Sea, medium waves and flat to choppy at low tide with shallow areas. Beach type & size: Sand - Big Infos: Long sandy beach. Weather specificities: Fun in fall and spring with 5/3 wetsuit, in summer you can wear shorty, summer wetsuit etc. Surfing the whole year possible, but temps can get below zero. Water temp. 2C in cold wintertime and 22C in hot summertime. Wind type: Frontal Wind specificities: Depression winds, in hot summer sometimes thermal sea breezes. In good months I can go 15 times, 1 out of 2 days, bad months 1 out of 10 days. A lot of the time you can ride with big gear but when there are depressions it can be really nuking. Usual and best direction: sideshore WSW. Other good directions W, WNW, NE. Best months: March, April, May, September, October, November Access description: by Car - From Brugge take N9 towards Ostende. Exit and take N307 to Wenduine.
