Surf Titahi Bay

Titahi Bay - Porirua, New Zealand Titahi Bay features a beach break with both right and left-hand waves over a sandy bottom. The waves are generally ordinary to fun, making it suitable for surfers of all levels. The spot works well at all tides, particularly during a rising tide, with optimal conditions from swell directions of Northwest, West, and Southwest, and wind from the Southeast, East, or Northeast. Located just a short drive from Wellington, access is straightforward via SH1. The southern end of the bay offers the best waves, while the center in front of the surf club can also produce quality surf under the right conditions. With several car parks available, the southernmost option is recommended. The atmosphere is friendly, and a simple greeting to locals can enhance your experience.
