Surf Ruggles

Ruggles - Newport, Rhode Island Ruggles is a right-breaking reef wave characterized by a rocky bottom and powerful, fast conditions. This spot is known for its barrels that form over boulders, particularly during mid-tide with a rising tide. Access is immediate, but caution is advised due to the presence of rocks and localism. Located at the end of Ruggles Ave, Ruggles offers stunning views of Newport's historic mansions. While it can get crowded, especially in summer and fall, the best surfing conditions typically occur in autumn and winter.
