Description
Rexhame - South Shore, Massachusetts
Rexhame features a reef break with both right and left waves, characterized by hollow, ordinary, and fun conditions. The bottom consists of coral and sharp rocks mixed with sand. This spot works best at low and mid tide, particularly during falling tide, with optimal swell coming from the east and northeast, and favorable winds from the northwest, west, and southwest.
Located south of Boston, Rexhame is a hidden gem known for its quieter atmosphere, often attracting fewer surfers. Access is straightforward, with parking available nearby, though it can be limited. The beachbreak peaks can be inconsistent, making it essential to check swell conditions before heading out. Despite the occasional crowd, the spot remains a peaceful place to surf, especially when the swell is under 4 feet. Just be cautious of the private beach and rocky hazards, and remember to bring reef walkers for safety.
