Description
Queens - South end of Seapoint
Queens features powerful left-breaking waves over a rocky reef bottom. The wave begins with an exhilarating drop, followed by a bowl ideal for re-entries, and gradually fades. Access is straightforward, with a permanent rip aiding paddlers out to the break, although caution is advised due to the jagged reef.
Located between Sunset Beach and Saunders' Rocks, Queens is easily accessible with a parking lot nearby. The spot is generally uncrowded, attracting only a few surfers during the week and weekends. Ideal conditions occur at high tide with rising and falling tides, and the best swell comes from the west and southwest, complemented by favorable winds from the south, southeast, and east. While the local crew is friendly, the intimidating shallow take-off and potential dangers from rocks require respect and skill, especially when returning to shore through the narrow gap in the rocks.
