Port Geographe (The Wedge) - Busselton Port Geographe features a sandbar wave that breaks both right and left over a sandy bottom. The wave is known for its fun to powerless characteristics, with occasional ledgey and slab sections. It primarily works in winter, producing barrels of 0.6 to 1.1 meters during storm swells, while summer conditions yield smaller waves. This quiet surf spot is located in a community that values its solitude, often seeing few surfers, especially during weekdays. The best conditions arise with north to northwesterly winds and swells from the same directions. Although it can be a challenge to find consistent waves due to the surrounding geography, dedicated surfers may enjoy longboard sessions or bodyboarding on the wedge. Be cautious of rocks and man-made hazards like buoys. Access requires a long walk, but the reward is a peaceful surf experience away from crowded beaches.
