Point Saint George - Crescent City Point Saint George features a left-breaking reef wave over a rocky bottom, characterized by fast, powerful, and fun conditions. This semi-point style reef break works best at mid tide during rising and falling tides, with optimal swell from the North, Northwest, West, and Southwest, and favorable winds from the Southeast and East. Located on the northern edge of Crescent City, access is straightforward with a parking lot at the end of Washington Blvd and a short walk to the beach. The spot is known for its emptiness during the week, with only a few surfers on weekends. While it can be inconsistent, larger winter swells can produce decent rides, especially at low tide. Surfers should be cautious of local hazards such as urchins, rips, and sharp rocks. Don't forget to explore the nearby St. George Light, about 7 miles offshore, for a scenic adventure.
