Majanicho features a right-breaking reef wave over flat rocks and sand, suitable for all tides. The spot consists of three different areas, with the main break working best at waist high to overhead (up to 5 ft). The wave can be fun and powerful, particularly favored by longboarders, with rides ranging from 20 to 40 meters.
Located in a natural harbor, Majanicho offers a laid-back atmosphere and is popular among locals and visitors alike. The wave peels along the eastern edge of the channel, attracting a mix of surfers, SUPers, and beginners, which can lead to crowded conditions, especially on smaller swells. Access is straightforward, with parking available at the headland and an instant walk to the break. Be prepared for a long paddle out, as the waves break far outside.
