Lagide - Peniche Lagide is a reef break featuring predominantly left-handed waves, with a right peak that offers a softer ride. The bottom consists of flat rocks with sand, providing fast and fun conditions. This spot works best at mid to high tide, particularly during a rising tide, and is generally suited for experienced surfers, especially when the swell exceeds 1.8 meters. Located on the north side of Peniche, Lagide is easily accessible with a car park nearby. The atmosphere can be competitive, especially on weekends, as it attracts a significant number of surfers. Caution is advised due to the sharp reef and the presence of urchins, particularly at low tide. The best surfing conditions are typically found from September to November and March to May. With amenities like showers and beach bars, Lagide offers a convenient and enjoyable surfing experience, though it can get crowded on prime days.
