It is located approximately 1 km offshore from the Pearl beach in the northern western region of Basse-Terre, with instant access available in under 5 minutes.
The wave works best with swells from the North, NorthWest, and West, and is optimal with winds from the SouthEast, East, and NorthEast. While it attracts few surfers during the week, weekends can get crowded. Localism is a noted concern, so respect for the local surf community is essential.
