Kualoa Point (The Point) - Kualoa Valley Kualoa Point features powerful reef breaks with both right and left directions, situated over a coral and sandy bottom. The waves can reach heights of 1.5 to 2.1 meters during strong northeast or east swells, making it a fun spot for surfers seeking less crowded conditions. It works best at low and mid tide with a rising tide. Located past Kualoa Ranch, this spot offers instant access and is known for its laid-back atmosphere. Surfers can enjoy two distinct breaks: the inside break, favored by shortboarders and body surfers, and the outside break, which attracts longboarders with its cleaner, larger waves. While the outside can be inconsistent, the inside often delivers fun rides. Caution is advised due to potential dangers such as rips, rocks, and occasional bluebottles. Parking is available by the valley gate, and surfers should be mindful of the rocky entry while paddling out.
