The spot is accessible via a short walk (<5 min) from the harbor parking area, providing instant access. It works well at all tides, with optimal conditions when the swell and wind come from the northwest or west. Located at the northern tip of Sealand, Gilleleje offers an open beach west of the harbor, with some protection from the east jetty. While it can produce fun waves, it’s not consistently reliable, so surfers should manage their expectations. The access can be tricky, as visibility of the waves is limited from the parking lot, necessitating a walk to the pier for a better view. This area is also popular for windsurfing, making it essential to check conditions before heading out for a surf session.
