Surf Fish Boma

Fish Boma - Gouna River Fish Boma features a powerful reef break with hollow and fast waves, suitable for experienced surfers. The wave breaks both right and left over a sharp coral and rocky bottom. Optimal conditions occur at low to mid tide with a falling tide, and it requires a south or southeast swell. Located just off the Gouna River carpark, access is instant, taking less than five minutes on foot. Despite its reputation for great waves, the presence of sharks has deterred many surfers, especially following a shark attack incident. The spot remains relatively empty during the week, with only a few surfers on weekends. Caution is advised due to potential dangers such as urchins, rips, undertow, and rocks.
