Benders - Western Australia Benders is a powerful left-breaking reef wave characterized by hollow, fast, and intense barrels over a sharp coral reef. The spot is accessible via a 4WD vehicle, requiring permission from a nearby farmhouse, and is best surfed at low to mid tide during falling tide conditions. This isolated surf spot is renowned for its local talent, including the Brown brothers, and attracts a crowd of photographers and pros. While it offers instant access, the area is not public and can become crowded on weekends. Surfers should be cautious of localism, sharp rocks, and urchins. Given its remote location, it's advisable to bring extra gear, including boards, leg ropes, and a first aid kit, to ensure a safe and enjoyable session.
