2nd Light - Central Florida This spot features a beach break with both right and left waves over a sandy bottom. It caters to all skill levels, producing fun waves from 0.3 meters to well overhead, particularly during hurricane swells. The optimal conditions arise with a southeast or northeast swell and low tide moving to high. 2nd Light, known as the Wave Magnet of Central Florida, offers consistent surf when other spots are flat. Located directly across from Patrick Air Force Base, it provides instant access with public facilities. While weekdays see fewer surfers, weekends can get crowded. The spot is also known for its potential barrels during prime conditions. However, surfers should remain cautious of sharks in the area.
