For the West side top launch, the wind directions range from 230 to 320 degrees, with the same wind speed limits.
Woodrat Mountain is accessible via both paved and dirt roads, making it reachable by 2WD vehicles. The site is managed by the Rogue Valley Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (RVHPA), and pilots are required to have current RVHPA and USHPA memberships to land at designated landing zones (LZs) like Hunter and LongSword.
