East to Southeast winds are favorable, immediately cross to Seeberg. For West/Northwest winds, there's a small cliff.
Vogelsang is a good choice for Northwest or North-Northwest conditions, similar to Hochries, making it a scenic alternative. Long-distance flights towards the east over Kaiser to Loferer, Pinzgau, or Hochkönig are feasible.
Short, steep take-off to the west. Another take-off spot to the northeast at the summit.
Cross-country routes: Vogelsang to Bischofshofen, Vogelsang to Saalfelden, Vogelsang to Zell am See.
Grassy slope at the summit for north take-offs, west take-off is almost cliff-like and should only be attempted with good wind conditions.
Thermals: Numerous thermals on the west slope.
For east winds, flights over Wallberg and Brauneck to Tegelberg or over Wallberg and Achensee into the Inntal have been done. West take-off is ideal in the evening with west wind. Landing field in Bayrischzell on a large meadow with a windsock.
Only experienced pilots should use the west take-off spot.
In summer, drive to Walleralm via Sudelfeld, then hike the rest. Pay the start fee via QR code with PayPal or directly on the homepage (€5 for a day pass). In winter, access with a modern 8-seater chairlift and skis. Take-off spots to the west and northeast.
