Description
Located between Finestrat and Benidorm in Spain, this paragliding site is managed by the local club, Morro de Toix. Due to the site's sensitivity and past complaints from the nearby theme park, flying here is restricted to club members only. Foreign pilots are not permitted to fly alone and must contact the club for the latest site rules. You can reach Club Morro de Toix or Doyouwanna at +34 606 781 180 for more information in English, German, French, Dutch, or Spanish.
The takeoff area is straightforward and situated next to an antenna, with enough space for at least two gliders. Top landing is simple and feasible. Access to the site is from Benidorm via the A-3318 towards La Nucia. After a few kilometers, take the roundabout towards Finestrat and continue to the campsite (approximately 3 km). Turn left just before the campsite. If you have a 4WD vehicle, you can drive up the washed-out path from the back. Otherwise, park and walk the remaining short distance.
Flying along the ridge offers a direct view over the 'Terra Mitica' theme park and the skyline of Benidorm, with the bay in the background. Pilots must maintain a minimum altitude of 300 meters when flying over the theme park. Under good conditions (at least 500 meters above takeoff), it is possible to fly to the beach in Benidorm, although this is not officially allowed but generally tolerated.
