Description
At an altitude of 2300 meters with a height difference of 1000 meters, this paragliding site in St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria, offers good cross-country opportunities. The site is regularly used when the cable car is operational. There are no start or landing fees, but it is crucial to respect the wildlife conservation areas. Note that there is no official landing place.
The starting place is accessible via the Nassereinbahn and the Kapall chairlift. After exiting the lift, the launch site is to the left. The launch direction to the east, which is rarely used, is located north of the Schöngrabenlift. Always maintain a safe distance from cables, especially in stronger winds. Landing on ski pistes is forbidden.
The landing area is an unspoilt meadow located 300 meters east of the Nassereinbahn. It is important to follow instructions from club members and cable-car personnel. Austrian airspace laws apply, and the local flying school and club do not take responsibility for the use of ground or equipment without prior agreement. Tandem flights are not allowed without permission from the flying school.

The site is suitable for both summer and winter flying, operational year-round during the operating hours of the Arlberger Bergbahnen. Speed flying is only allowed after instruction and approval from the Flight Connection Arlberg flying school.
A start and landing fee of €5 per day is payable to club members. The launch area is located immediately at the top station of the Kapallbahn, with a grassy and rocky surface in summer and a groomed snow piste in winter. Always observe the safety distance to cable cars and power lines, and follow the instructions of club members and cable car staff.
