Located near Skopje in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, this paragliding site offers a good thermal experience with limited cross-country potential. It is occasionally used for competitions and provides various takeoff options, primarily from the south-southwest direction. The takeoff area is a large grassy ridge at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, capable of accommodating up to 300 paragliders simultaneously. This makes it an excellent spot for group flights and events. Landing is generally straightforward with many options available once you cross the few hills in front. Typically, there are no significant issues with landing. Access to the site is convenient, with a road leading all the way to the top. The last 2 kilometers are dirt roads, but they are navigable by any car. It's advisable to get in touch with local pilots for the best experience and guidance. This site is known for its strong thermals, making it a thrilling experience when conditions are right. However, it is not flyable all the time. On days with milder conditions, it serves as a pleasant soaring site with options for both top and bottom landings. It is a great alternative if the nearby Vodno site is not flyable. Weather conditions can be challenging, with strong thermals and south/west/southwest winds potentially becoming too strong for paragliding in the middle of the day, although they are favorable for hang gliding.
