At an elevation of 1188 meters, this site is occasionally used and offers nice soaring opportunities with some potential for cross-country flights.
To reach the launch area, head up a cabin road about 200 meters past the campsite if you're coming from the south. Follow a marked trail (red paint) for approximately an hour. There are multiple launch sites at the top. The coordinates provided are closer to the large mountain on the right as you ascend, which makes it easier to catch lift from there.
Landing options include the parking lot near the campsite, provided there are few cars. Otherwise, there are large marsh areas suitable for landing, or the ice on Skarvatnet during winter. Be aware that the parking lot can generate thermals, making it potentially turbulent for landing.
