Description
This paragliding site in Spain offers a medium-difficult flying experience with an altitude of 1800 meters and a height difference of 1700 meters. It is occasionally used and features a long glide down towards the south, leading to a narrow valley or the sea. Some cross-country (XC) flying is possible here.
Due to the many cables in the direction from Castell de Ferro, landing options are restricted. Beginners are advised not to fly here without a flying guide.
The site has recorded flights of up to 12.7 km and 11.6 km in different regions of Spain.
Directions:
From the road from Los Tablones towards Castell de Ferro, about halfway, there is a junction to Sierra de Lujar. A small road leads to the take-off point.
Flight Directions:
- South: Landing at Castell de Ferro (1800m)
- North: Landing at Los Tablones (1450m)

The maximum take-off altitude is 1845 meters with a southeast to southwest orientation.
Access:
From Orgiva, take the C333 towards Torvizcon, turn right at the first junction, and continue on the C333. The road ascends, and at an altitude of 1200 meters, take a right turn towards the summit where the TV repeater is located.
