This site is beautifully situated with views over the Strait to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. The launch area could be usable if it were cleaned up, but this is too much for the few local pilots. In strong winds, there is a risk of being pulled into the high-voltage power lines. Top landing is not possible. Directions: Drive from Scilla towards Melia. At Villago del Pino, turn right (left leads to the cemetery), go under the highway, and continue up the well-maintained winding road. At the junction, turn right, passing Villago del Pino. At the next junction, turn right again, pass the farm, go over the ridge, and past the antennas of Monte Scrisi. The bumpy road is passable with a regular car. At the curve, park slightly to the right. Be careful to remember this turn-off, as it is often missed on the way back. Scilla Monte Scrisi.
