Description
Located in Catalonia, near Gerona, this paragliding site is primarily used for its reliable thermals, making it suitable for cross-country flights. The area is known for its serene environment, perfect for those looking to unwind or enjoy long valley walks. The site is not heavily frequented and lacks significant infrastructure for paragliding.
To get there, take the road from Ripoll to Camprodon (C-151). Before the bridge at 'Sant Joan de les Abadesses,' turn right onto the road to Ogassa.
The launch sites are oriented to the south. The lower launch has an elevation difference of about 200 meters and is accessible via the same track that passes by the landing field. This meadow allows for thermal conditions that can lift you up to the top of the Serra Cavallera. For the upper launch, continue along the track until it ends, then walk about 15 minutes from the watering trough to the col, which faces south.
Landing is in a designated field next to the track.
