Description
Rörtången Syd is a frequently used paragliding site known for its soaring flights. The site is classified as a hang gliding spot and requires a Pilot 3 license. The ideal wind direction for flying here is from the south.
The takeoff point is situated at an altitude of 50 meters above sea level, with a height difference of 50 meters. The maximum flight altitude you can reach is 455 meters.
To get there, follow the same directions as for Rörtången Väst. You can view the location on Google Maps.
For takeoff, you can either use the west launch site or cross the ravine and start from the top.
It is not recommended for hang gliding in strong winds, as thermals can become very tricky.
