Description
Rörtången Nord is a frequently used paragliding site, primarily for soaring, with occasional cross-country flights.

License Requirement: Pilot Level 2
Wind Directions: North
Launch Altitude: 75 meters above sea level
Maximum Flight Altitude: 455 meters
Directions: Drive from Kungälv towards Marstrand. After 10 km, turn right towards Stenungssund. After 3 km, turn left towards Rörtången, then left again towards Ödsmålsmosse into a summer cottage area. When the road splits in the cottage area, choose the right path. Park along the forest edge on the right. A short walk northwards to the left will take you to the launch site.
Comments: This site is not suitable for beginners. You should have at least a Pilot Level 2 certification.

Launch: Cliff launch
Landing: Land to the right on the fields, emergency landing to the left in the bay.
For Hang Gliders: Good launch, flyable between NW-NE, but it becomes turbulent if the wind is too cross, especially from the NE as it comes more from the mainland. Land on the field opposite the bird-watching parking area. Note that the bay is a bird protection area.
