Located in the heart of the Maritime Alps, Prato Nevoso offers a stunning paragliding experience with breathtaking views of the Cuneo plain. From the two official takeoff points at 1750 meters, you can see Genoa and its gulf, the Ligurian Apennines, the Langhe region, and the Alpine chain extending up to Monte Rosa. This site is particularly suitable for tandem flights, providing ample opportunities for passengers to take photos, film, and even try their hand at the controls.
The site features a vertical drop of 1200 meters and the nearest landing zone is 6 km away, giving plenty of room for a comfortable flight. The takeoff area faces East, North, and South, making it accessible for all skill levels. It is reachable by car without the need for special permissions. The landing zone is spacious and suitable for rigid wings, oriented East-West, and is located behind the meeting point at Bar 'Al Volo' in Fraz. Gosi, along the road leading to the takeoff.

Monte Malanotte, at 1741 meters, is another excellent site for both hang gliding and paragliding. The East-facing slope has an ideal gradient for takeoff, making it suitable for both types of gliders. The West-facing takeoff has a platform with an ideal gradient, but it is recommended for paragliders only if there is a good breeze due to potential rotor issues in strong winds. Recent improvements have made the West takeoff more accessible for paragliders.
