Takeoff altitude is 2,169 meters above sea level. The site is located on the road to the Piton de la Fournaise volcano. To access it, start from the village of Bourg-Murat and head towards the volcano. Pass the Rivière des Remparts viewpoint. The takeoff area is about 3 kilometers further on the left, identifiable by large Hertzian relay pylons. Park your vehicle on the roadside and continue on foot. The takeoff direction is towards the back, facing the Plaine des Palmistes.
