The launch site is situated at an altitude of 2220 meters, with a height difference of 1151 meters, making it a medium-difficulty site. It is regularly used and offers a cable car service, although the cable car does not operate year-round. If the cable car is not available, you can reach the launch site with a 20-minute walk. This location is excellent for cross-country (XC) flights and provides various takeoff options.
The site is located in the Appenzell Innerrhoden region of Switzerland. The site record for the longest flight is 83.4 kilometers.
To reach the launch site from the middle station, follow hiking trail number 4 until shortly after the junction with trail number 9. This walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
