This site is occasionally used for soaring flights. It is located in the region of Olne, Belgium. The site record is 22.3 km. The distance record was set by Didier Doutrepont, who flew 103 km on August 15, 2004, using a Gradient Aspen.
Usage: Suitable for both hang gliding and paragliding.

Open Seasons: Spring and Summer. Note that there is no official authorization for this site, and it is closed during hunting periods.
Takeoff: The takeoff area is very narrow and steep, suitable for only one person at a time. There is no room to run, and barbed wire is present behind the takeoff area. This site is not recommended for beginners. Ensure you have a thermal breeze or wind before attempting to take off to avoid ending up in the trees in front. Always check that your canopy is above your head and carrying your weight before taking off.
Route: From Nessonvaux N61, take the National N604 towards Olne. After leaving the village, turn right towards Soiron. After 1.5 km, take the road to the right towards 'Bois d'Olne'. Continue straight after the hairpin turn until you reach the takeoff area on the right side of the path. Do not park on the path as it is used by agricultural vehicles.
Hazards: Barbed wire behind the takeoff area and the presence of the farmer. The site can become very turbulent with winds exceeding 20 km/h.
Type of Flight: Suitable for cross-country, soaring, and thermal flights.
