Description
Monte do Pisco, located in Tourém, Montalegre, Portugal, offers a unique paragliding experience with a takeoff altitude of 1400 meters and a height difference of approximately 300 meters. This site is rarely used but provides excellent soaring conditions and the possibility for small cross-country flights. Top landing is generally straightforward.
The slope is very flat, making it suitable for flying in stronger winds. There are various takeoff options available, and it is one of the rare spots in the region with a northeast launch. The best flying time is between 11:00 and 15:00, typically with a north wind.
The scenery is beautiful, situated near the Larouco mountain and within the Parque Nacional do Gerês, offering stunning views. The site record for distance is 5.6 km.
