Description
The secondary Liretta takeoff, situated at an altitude of 1539 meters with a height difference of 935 meters, is regularly used for soaring and cross-country (XC) flights. This takeoff is suitable for both paragliding (PG) and hang gliding (HG). You can reach the takeoff point using the club's shuttle service.
Located in the Piemonte region of Italy, this site has a record flight distance of 55.0 km. For more information, you can visit the club's page: [Paradelta Club Cuneo](http://www.paradeltaclubcuneo.com/monte-san-bernardo.html). For English inquiries, contact Andrea at +393490970322. The high takeoff at Liretta, known as 'Pratoni,' is slightly below the cross at the mountain's summit. This location allows you to avoid carrying your hang glider or paraglider on your shoulders. Another takeoff point, recommended for beginners, is right next to the cross at the mountain's top or slightly east after passing the cross. Reaching these takeoff points requires a ten-minute walk, which is not ideal for hang gliders. All takeoff points are easy and have landing zones directly below. However, to land at Villar San Costanzo, it is advisable not to linger too long and to head towards the lower Liretta takeoff during the flight. Note that these takeoff points are not serviced by the shuttle.
