Description
This paragliding site offers a medium difficulty level with a height of 18 meters and a length of 700 meters. It's known for its nice soaring above dunes and trees, making it suitable for experienced pilots. Depending on the wind strength, you might occasionally need to lift the wing in the lee of some trees and walk up a bit until you find lift. Toplanding is possible but not easy.
The site is located in Denmark. The dunes are approximately 25 meters high and about 1200 meters long, providing good take-off and landing conditions on the highest part of the sand dunes. However, the beach north of the starting place is very narrow.
Public access is allowed, but there have been complaints from homeowners about low flights over holiday cottages. To avoid complaints, it is advised not to fly here during the summer months. Additionally, if there are many bathers, it is not advisable to fly.
To get there, head towards Børkop and then to Høl-Hvidbjerg. From Fredericia North, take highway 28 towards Børkop, exit for Hoel, and proceed to Hvidbjerg. After passing the Hvidbjerg city sign, park at the grocery store/bakery on the left side of the road. On the opposite side, 30 meters further back, a path leads up to the dune.
