Paragliding Hoven - Gimsøya - Lofoten

Hoven, standing at 371 meters above sea level, is a mountain located in the middle of Gimsøya between Vestvågøy and Austvågøy in Lofoten. This site is occasionally used for soaring, particularly with northerly winds. To reach the launch site, park at the golf course and follow the trail up. Due to ongoing work on the golf course, finding the start of the trail can be a bit challenging. Many pilots choose to launch either on the way up or from the top of the mountain. Landing options are plentiful, but it's advisable to avoid the golf course (golf balls can be hard and fast) and the campsite (especially when it's occupied; it's generally fine in winter).
