This is a valid mountain flight, facilitated by the 13 Laghi chairlift, which allows easy access to the takeoff point on the meadows of Cappello d’Envie (2618 m) with just a 15-minute walk. This spot offers a panoramic view of the Val Germanasca mountains.
For those who prefer not to walk, there is a takeoff point a few meters from the arrival of the second section of the chairlift at Bric Rond (2550 m), equipped with a windsock, visible from the chairlift.
The landing zone is directly in front of the chairlift departure point in Ghigo (1500 m), on the left bank of the stream (windsock on site). Be cautious in spring and summer, especially during the hottest hours, as the valley breeze can cause forward movement issues. There is also a second landing area on a large meadow between the stream and the road, accessible by continuing past the chairlift parking lot and taking a small road on the right.
Access:
From Turin, take the Orbassano-Pinerolo ring road and continue towards Sestriere.
Upon reaching Perosa Argentina, turn left towards Val Germanasca – Praly Ghigo.
Follow the signs for the chairlift and park in the large parking lot of the facilities.
At the ticket office, mention that you are a paraglider pilot; you might get a discount.
Upon arrival at the second section, walk along the path that starts immediately after the last cabin of the chairlift until you reach an information board.
From here, turn right to reach the Bric Rond takeoff. Alternatively, continue left, walking first on flat terrain and then uphill on meadows to reach Cappello d’Envie.
