Description
Located in Southern Germany, the Fürstenberg site offers a unique paragliding experience. The hill stands at 832 meters with a height difference of 65 meters, making it suitable for soaring and cross-country flights. The site is particularly popular for its northern wind conditions, averaging speeds between 10 to 20 km/h. The site record is an impressive 113.6 km.
Important: The Fürstenberg is within the Satellite Zone of the RMZ (Radio Mandatory Zone), a controlled airspace from ground level to 1000 feet AGL. Entry into the RMZ requires prior notification to the flight control at EDTD (Donaueschingen, 126.690 MHz [8.33 kHz]).
Take-offs are only permitted in the presence of a club member and after telephone registration with EDTD. The take-off area is at 835 meters above sea level, facing northeast to northwest. Pilots must sign in the start logbook. Be cautious of strong ground winds as they can intensify with altitude.
Only step on the grass within the designated take-off area and consult club members for any questions. Use the path east of the take-off area to ascend. Avoid flying over the sheep herd and ensure parked cars do not obstruct agricultural traffic. Do not park on the meadows. Adhere strictly to the designated landing area as indicated on the onsite map.
