Description
The takeoff site at 2200-2230 meters with a height difference of 596 meters is located in Val Gardena, Italy. This site is rarely used and offers a panoramic flight down. The starting point is west of the summit station near a mountain hut, slightly off the ski slope, with a distance of 3.5 km.

After takeoff, head left to the ridge and soar approximately one kilometer towards Sassolungo, then gain altitude. Alternatively, fly directly to Piz Culac and ascend towards the Sella massif. Be cautious of valley winds and avoid flying during north or south Föhn conditions, as it can be extremely dangerous.
Attention hang gliders: There are no recommended landing sites nearby. Some meadows between ski lifts or the sports field in St. Ulrich can be used in emergencies, but they are not ideal. The area's suitability for hang gliding is questionable.
