Description
El Cerdal is a popular paragliding site in Portugal, located near the border. It offers excellent thermal conditions, making it a frequently used spot for thermal soaring and some cross-country (XC) flights. The site is situated in the Viana do Castelo region, with a site record of 46.4 km, and also in the Valença do Minho region, with a site record of 30.0 km.
The meeting point for pilots is at the entrance of the national road 5 towards Valença to Cerdal or at the old shooting range, which is used as the landing zone.
