Takeoff is at an altitude of 757 meters, frequently used for soaring and some cross-country flights. This site is suitable for experienced pilots aiming for 50 km out-and-return flights. The takeoff area can accommodate a small number of pilots and is also used for training, except during June, July, and August when the beach landing area becomes too crowded. It is also a good spot for acro flying.
Other sites in the area are more suited for training purposes. The flying season is generally good from early April to the end of October, sometimes extending into November.
