Best Conditions
Description
The site is a training and practice slope with soaring opportunities. Occasionally, some cross-country flights are possible. It is relatively often used, but most flights are not logged. It is considered one of the most beautiful and best practice slopes in the entire pre-Alpine region.
Location: Bad Wiessee, Germany.
This slope is ideal for training, ground handling, and flying. With a northeast wind and available thermals, it is also possible to gain altitude. Please note: Before starting, a start and landing fee must be paid at Bucherbauer.
The Bucherhang is suitable for both beginners (as part of a basic course) and advanced pilots. The slope is well shielded to the south and west, making it flyable even with light Föhn and west winds. The valley wind from Tegernsee hits the slope directly, making it interesting for advanced pilots. With a bit of luck, catching a thermal bubble can allow you to ascend to Ringberg. Optimal wind conditions also allow for soaring. If no thermal bubble is available, just try again.
For detailed guidance, you can ask Peter Rummel, who is very knowledgeable about this site.
Don't forget to pay the start/landing fee of 3 Euros at the farm opposite ('Kleinbuch').
