Description

Located in the Lisboa region of Portugal, this paragliding site offers a height of 320 meters and a height difference of approximately 210 meters. It is regularly used for soaring, and mini cross-country flights are possible. Top landing is generally feasible. However, be cautious of the Lisboa CTR (Control Zone). The site has recorded flights of up to 3.9 km and 9.2 km. To reach the site, follow the directions towards Vialonga from the North highway (Lisboa-Alverca). After navigating through several turns and following signs for Vialonga, you will eventually reach Sta. Eulália. Continue ascending until you find a dirt and gravel road leading to a viewpoint overlooking the CREL. The takeoff area is located near a large antenna and a geodetic marker. Landing options include mid-slope or fields adjacent to the CREL. Top landing is usually possible under normal conditions. The site offers excellent thermal flying, but be cautious not to exceed altitude gains of 400 meters. The dynamic flight along the ridge, which extends over 2 km, is particularly rewarding. Summer conditions are ideal for restitution flights. Note that the site is on the approach and departure route for airplanes, so extra caution is needed on good thermal days.
