Conditions Optimales
Description
At an elevation of 3340 meters with a height difference of 150-300 meters, this site is rarely used and primarily suitable for soaring. Accessible via a 2WD vehicle, it is a summer site with no flying permitted during the ski season. The takeoff is from a cliff.
No flight logs have been found for this location.
In the mornings, the easterly flow allows for flights off the backside. The site features a south-east launch as well as launches facing south, west, and north. While sled rides are typically around 1000 feet, the site is often soarable. However, be cautious of rapidly developing conditions during the heat of the summer, especially if flying midday.
Three valley systems converge into Brian Head, making it crucial to consider the prevailing winds rather than just the winds at the launch site. The drive to the launch is convenient, with a return time of approximately 6 minutes.
