Level: Beginner, Intermediate Type: Lake Water type: Shallow, Chop, Small wave Water hazards: Swimmers Water quality: Crystal clear Infos: Lake Ontario side has good waves that build quickly over the shallow bottom. West Lake side is more low chop. Beach type & size: Sand - Big Infos: From the Sandbanks Beach parking lot walk north along the beach until you are well away from the swimming area. This is the only beach in the park you can ride, so don't compromise the access, stay well away from the swimmers and other beach users. Identified hazards: Trees, Bystanders Beachgoer: June, July, August, September Wind type: Frontal Wind specificities: I rode here in June and had some 20kn plus days, but the locals say September and October are the best bet. Best months: September, October Access description: by Car - You can stay just outside of the park and ride your bike to the beach to avoid parking fees. Specific rules: Zones, Fees Extra: Kite at Sandbanks Beach only or hike way north of the Dunes Beach to kite on West Lake. Accommodations: Rooms, Camping, Toilet, Parking
