Wind type: Thermal, Frontal Wind specificities: Wind is especially good during the El Norte's that also work well in La Ventana. Good winter location with both thermal and frontal wind influence. Winter winds most often from the NW. Best month is February. The wind drops off a few hundred yards out due to a peninsula that blocks it. Going downwind a half mile or so improves this issue. Best months: January, February, March, October, November, December Access description: by Car, Bus - From Hermosillo drive south on 15 towards Guaymas, and then to San Carlos. From here about 3 miles further west to Playa Los Algodones. No walk from parking lot. Specific rules: None Extra: Great restaurant right on the beach where you can eat between sessions. Nightlife: Bars and restaurants in San Carlos about 15 min drive. Plenty of nightlife. Froggy's, General's, Blackie's, Toro's, Taquila and Captain's Clubs.
