Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert Type: Ocean Water type: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Small wave, Medium wave Water hazards: Swimmers Water quality: Crystal clear Infos: Flat water with NW to SW, waves with S to SE. Shallow for about 30m. Beach type & size: Sand - Medium Infos: Long sandy beach, only about 20m wide. Many beach goers during summer. Identified hazards: Bystanders Beachgoer: July, August Weather specificities: During summer 25-33C, and water about 24C as well. Short or even shorts are enough in summer. Besides summer a wetsuit is needed. Surfing all year is possible. Wind type: Thermal, Frontal Wind specificities: During spring to summer thermal winds from NW to W. The spot works also with frontal winds during the whole year coming from NW, W, SW, S and SE. Best months: April, May, June, July, August Access description: by Car - From Grosseto drive westwards to Marina di Grosseto. From here drive northwest on Via Costiera towards Castiglione della Pescaia. At km 28 turn left and follow the sandy road to the beach. Here you can park.
