Isle of Man Slieu Lewaigue
This coastal soaring site, with an elevation of 207 meters, offers a unique flying experience. Historically popular among hang gliders, it provides easy climbs and significant height gains due to wave lift from the UK hills across the sea. Although paragliding activity here has been limited, the potential looks promising.
Before taking off, notify farmer Mr. Moore. The take-off area can be a bit turbulent at lower altitudes due to the trees in front. However, once airborne, the lift band is extensive and can lead to impressive altitude gains.
For landing, there are good top landing options, as well as bottom landing on the beach or towards Maughold.
