Infos: Beautiful, crystal clear, flat water. No water during low tide for 100m then up to 2m at high tide. A (tide-dependent) waist-high area stretching 150 m into the sea. Apparently there can be waves when the wind is westerly. There are no reefs or stones, only just for about 10m in front of the beach, which are quiet sharp. Huge lagoons and playground further upwind (North). At low tide the lagoon dries out, leaving only few ridable channels. But the you get very flat and smooth water. Be careful at low tide anywhere, it can get very shallow. Around the lagoons you can find excellent speed areas for up to 800m long.
Beach type & size: Sand - Big
Infos: Beautiful sand with sea shells about 100m wide. Lots of space. Some umbrellas may disturb for launching, but kiters should launch to the right. The wind can blow sideshore across the wide sandbank and there are no gusts or turbulence. Normally a light breeze and flat water in the morning.

Infos: The first 150m are flat and shallow depending on the tide. Tidal range is about 1m at the most. The lagoon sometimes even runs dry. There are areas of corals and water plant which are easy to see. Besides from very low tide you can always kite above them. After the 150m the water gets deep and a bit wavy if the wind is strong. Somewhere are some reefs but not dangerous. The two shallow reefs are marked by two flags. This is the entry area to the deep water for the windsurfers. About a 1km from the coast is another shallow reef area. Shoes are a good idea because of some pointed shells.

Wind specificities: Wind is strong mostly in the morning and at noon, in the afternoon it can maintain its strength and stabilize or it can drop. In the morning it is slightly sideoffshore and if that is the case rather gusty, around 11am it changes to sideonshore and more stable. Best direction is sideonshore (North). The strength is relative as the direction is more important, as soon there is Northerly direction in it you can add 1-2 Bft to the forecast, due to Hurghada's geography. So watch the direction and then the strength. Season is in fact all year, although April till September are the best months (although can be very strong wind up to 8 Bft).
