Infos: Shark Bay can be choppy, but with sideshore wind nice and flat when wind picks up to 20+. Real waves are formed, nice and smooth. Flat to choppy inside reef area, 200 meters out reef with breaking swells. Can get large on reef, but rather rare. Little to no tide impact. Wind is sideonshore to waves. Tide about 2m difference. At low tide some rocks can be just under or outside the water surface. Ask locals where they are located at.
Beach type & size: Sand - Medium
Infos: 10km long, sandy beach. The beach is not too wide, but absolutely safe to launch, with high tide you will be close to some dunes but no problem. No shells, stones, or other irritating materials, just great soft golden sand.

Wind specificities: Wind is 4-6 Bft, trade winds, sometimes gusty. The season is November to April. The wind from the NE accelerates over the land and gives a gusty but kiteable cross off. Beware, it is cross off with no rescue, but there is enough cross within the bay to have the far point still downwind of you for most of your reach. A great beach when the forecast is light.

Infos: Due to (side)offshore winds the water is really flat. Sometimes when the swell is more south, there is a point break really clean over a length of approx. 500m and not too high. If the swell is there, it's really a great place to learn wave riding without any danger. Stronger current in winter.
