The launch site is located at an altitude of 3120 meters and is considered difficult. The take-off area is a flat to moderately steep scree slope, and it is recommended to launch only when there is snow. The site is rarely used, but a small cross-country flight is possible. To reach the launch site, take the cable car from Curtinatsch to Diavolezza. From the Diavolezza mountain station, it is a 40-minute walk to the take-off point. The trail is well-maintained but narrow, with some steep sections requiring sure-footedness. It is suitable for older children. The hike offers breathtaking views of the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers, Piz Palü, Piz Bellavista, and Piz Bernina, the highest peak in the Eastern Alps at 4049 meters. For an unforgettable experience, start the hike before sunrise with a headlamp to witness the dawn over the Bernina massif. Accommodation is available directly at Diavolezza. Coordinates for the launch site are 9.95466314, 46.41899097, with a southwest orientation.
